A1 Licence

To obtain an A1 license you must pass the Compulsory Base Training (CBT) and pass a theory test and a two-part practical exam. The CBT course is essential to motorcycle training and prepares you for both the theory and practical test. You will require an instructor for your motorcycle to accompany you on your A1 practical test. The test will last around 20 minutes and will consist of modules 1 and 2. The remainder of your test will be on the road and will concentrate on how well you can control a motorbike when it is moving at high speeds.

A3 Licence
The A2 Licence allows riders to upgrade to larger bikes with more power. The A2 Licence also offers additional benefits that aren't available with the CBT. For example you can use motorways and transport passengers. You can upgrade from CBT to the A2 license by completing additional training, and passing the relevant exam. The A2 license is valid for two years. After this, it can be upgraded to an unlimited A license.
The first step towards obtaining your A2 license is to successfully pass the Compulsory Base Training (CBT) test and the Motorcycle Theory Test. After you have completed these requirements, you are ready to take the Module 1 or Module 2 practical test. The module 1 practical exam involves demonstrating your riding skills on a closed circuit, whereas the module 2 test requires riding on an open road.

A4 Licence
The A4 Licence enables motorists to drive vehicles with more than three wheels. This licence includes trucks, buses and coaches. It also covers vehicles transporting dangerous products. To be able to get a licence, drivers must pass an identity check. In order to obtain an A1-A4 driving license the driver must go through training at a local transport office or an approved driving school. They must also take a physical exam.
